Is my boosted post going to give me hollow followers?

I have a total of 255 followers and started in December.

I do collaborative reels with content creators about their background stories.

I think, compared to the benchmark monthly growth rate, +138 followers is hella crazy, but I think compared to 101.6K views, the follower conversion rate is relatively low.

I have started putting in a "call to action" at the end and text on the video saying "Follow @ username for more incredible stories like this!" because I think people do not realise it was part of a wider platform.

I also think a lot of people just want to see their favourite creator and go no further.

I have seen blogs say 1% of views turning into followers as the average. I think 32 followers from 3,200 views on a reel is a crazy amount.

I boosted my most popular post and targeted it towards people who would be interested in it. From $6.67, I have gained 66,731 views and roughly 44 followers.

is a $100 ad campaign, so I expect a large amount of people to show up by the end of it.

While this is amazing, but I am worried I am paying $100 for a lot of hollow followers.

Should I turn off the ad campaign?
