I reached out to 15,000 people on LinkedIn in January. Here's what happened.

Discussion

Here's the breakdown:

The numbers:

Sent 15,058 connection requests

5,443 accepted (36.1%)

Sent 4,651 messages (we can only message people who accept)

2,351 opened the messages (50.5%)

2,097 actually replied (45.1% reply rate)

That's a 45% reply rate. On cold outreach. To people we've never talked to before.

How we did it:

First thing: you can't do this from one account. LinkedIn has hard limits on how many connection requests and messages you can send per day. Even if you're careful, one account caps you at maybe 100-150 actions per day max before you start risking restrictions.

We use multiple accounts. Not our personal profiles, rebranded accounts that exist purely as a distribution layer. If one gets flagged or banned, it gets swapped out. We rent them from services that specialize in this. Think of it like having multiple phone lines for a call center.

With 15,000+ connection requests sent, you'd need roughly 15-20 accounts running in parallel to pull this off without hitting limits. One account physically cannot do this.

Second: personalization actually matters. I'm not talking about "Hey {{FirstName}}, I noticed you work in {{Industry}}" garbage. Real context. We look at what people post about, what their company does, mutual connections, recent job changes - anything that shows we're not just blasting everyone.

Third: this is all automated. Has to be. There's no way to manually manage 20 accounts, personalize thousands of messages, track replies, and not mess something up. We built custom workflows using n8n that handle everything - from sending connection requests at safe intervals, to pulling data for personalization, to managing follow-ups.

And honestly? Nobody else is doing it like this. I've talked to a lot of people running outreach campaigns, and most are either stuck at 200-300 messages a month from one account, or they're using basic tools that get them banned in a week. The combination of multi-account infrastructure, real personalization at scale, and advanced automation that doesn't trigger LinkedIn's detection - that's the part nobody has figured out.

No content posting. No personal branding grind. No ads.

Just direct access to the exact people we want to talk to, at a scale that actually matters.

I know this sounds like a lot to set up (because it is), but once it's running, it's just... running. The math is simple - in B2B, you need one good client to make the whole thing worth it.
