Does anyone else's newborn sleep in their own room?
There was this thread on babybumps today where the guy wanted their baby to sleep in his own room (for all the wrong reasons but still) and he was absolutely getting dragged for even suggesting sleeping seperate.
I was like 😬, because my newborn has been in his own room since he was 2 weeks.
He has infant dyschezia and grunts all the time which makes it impossible to sleep if he's in the same room. So I put him in his own room with the door open so his groaning and moaning is muffled but I can still hear him wake up or need a feed.
Honestly it has worked wonders for us? Sleep is 1000x better and although that thread mentioned increased SIDS risk I really don't see how? He's in his crib without a blanket and I still hear him clearly when he's upset. To me there seems 0 difference between him in our room or his own.
Am I the only one???
