Where to play basketball pick up

Can someone please explain to me where to play basketball pick up? I looked at the schedule and it couldn’t be anymore confusing the schedule. At my undergrad college you could just simply go to the gym and play. Here it appears there’s something always scheduled on the schedule I viewed. Can someone provide some insight? Do people actually play basketball lol? The gym I go to changed their courts into pickleball which people seem to enjoy.
