What is in the water in Ohio…

Never mind that most of these dudes look like copy/paste variants of Temu JD Vance and of each other (I’m not convinced that Mike, Connor, Chris and Alex aren’t the same person—they all literally have the same arm sleeve!), what is with all the men this season being obsessed with having children?!

Almost every single one of them have STRESSED to their dates that they want kids. Whereas I’ve heard maybe two women say they “want a family”. And these dudes still push for kids even when the woman’s hesitation is regarding health concerns for themselves and their kids. These guys just brush away whatever she said. They just manipulate the women into saying they’d be open to kids to later hold it over them. “Well you SAID you were open to this!”

The lack of active listening, the latching onto one detail and making it the entire relationship (The Alchemist book, anyone?), the subtle threatening that whoever the wife will be will be their wife forever, the desire to have the relationship their grandparents had (ignoring the fact that grandmas’ were trapped in marriages where no-fault divorce wasn’t an option, they weren’t allowed bank accounts or credit cards without their husbands approval, and often didn’t work outside the home).

And yet as so sure as they are they NEED TO HAVE KIDS, none of them can make a decision when it comes to who they’re dating.

They’re not looking for a wife, they’re looking for a sperm incubator ffs.
