Car camping for mammoth mountain snowboarding - where to park at night?

Going car camping for snowboarding, i have a car mattress and everything necessary for sleeping already, just wondering where is safe and okay to park and sleep where others are too. I’ve heard scenic loop, Bishop, hot springs as possible areas but never actually done this so looking for the best option.

It would be great if there was food near where i’m parking to sleep so i don’t have to bring a camping stove, but i have that if needed.
