Queens of the Stone Age songs that sound like Ween songs

Their influence on QOTSA can’t be understated. Josh has said that many times that he is a massive Ween fan.

I Was a Teenage Hand Model (off their debut album) is LITERALLY Pod era Ween. I can TOTALLY see that song on The Pod (akin to Boing or Alone). Like if Ween made that song and put it on the Pod I wouldn’t bat an eye.

Mosquito Song is also super Weeny, right down to the genre recreating, to the accent, to the songwriting that’s simple at first but when you dig into it, it’s really something.

Six Shooter is literally SOO Ween. The perfect sibling to Stroker Ace, Bare Hands, and Long Night. Fun fact, it sounds so much like the Deaner metal songs because Deaner plays guitar on this song!!

The end of I Think I Lost My Headache also sounds very brown and like something they would do (sort of like the end of Sketches of Winkle but longer and more obnoxious)

QOTSA was my childhood band pretty much, and when I first realized how much Josh Homme was into Ween, I could not stop seeing all of the influences clear as day!

(Also, on the flip side, The Grobe sounds totally like an early QOTSA song!)

Sorry if this is an odd post or annoying, I just wanted to rant about two bands I love and their similarities that I have recently noticed.
