Naively thought migration would be simple (hue -> zbt-2 + zha).
I got sick of lights in the house stopping working at random times, so I decided to get rid of Philips Hue and move to HA with a ZBT-2. For most of the devices, I deleted them from the Hue bridge and then they were available to add in HA under ZHA.
But there are problems. Some devices won't reconnect, even when I put them into pairing mode again and again. The light switch module I had - RDM001 - was detected, but I couldn't get it to do anything. And I was expecting a single event to come out whenever I toggled it, but there was a bunch of stuff like changing onoff state, or "off with effect". Some of the devices won't respond at all even though they show up as well-connected in the network visualisation.
I've currently just got all the lights being controlled with wall switches, and the rest of the family laughing at me about how we should just get normal lights. And the way I feel, I'm kinda thinking they're right.
I can't find the right place I should be reading about how to get myself out of this situation. At the moment I'm really regretting it. Can anyone point me in the direction of some good reading material? Thanks.
