Stadium Entry Conditions

Some information about gaining entry to the SailGP Stadium with a camera: My experience is from Auckland so other venues may be different. Having seen the descriptions of prohibited items on the SailGP website I left my serious gear at home and just took a crop sensor camera with a 28-300 zoom lens. I was still refused entry with the camera purely based on the focal length. I was told that this was a specific rule that came direct from SailGP. If it is it isn’t published anywhere on their website.

So my advice to all you amateur photographers out there who might hope to get a few shots is ‘don’t bother’. @SailGP please get your information sorted out.
