How the $@#!

how do other quads keep flying after big crashes? like mine lands too hard and a motor shits the bed or something stupid. this hobby is getting expensive quickly. I don't mind tinkering and fixing things but like I see dudes ding their quads at mach jesus and nothing happens. I turtle mode after clipping the ground when coming in a little hot and now a motor is dead.

just complaining but how do you guys keep going when it seems like this hobby is just a money sink
