Extremely silky straight hair won’t hold volume

Hi everyone,

I have very silky, straight hair with medium density, but it looks thin because it falls completely flat. My hair is super smooth and soft and doesn’t hold volume at all.

I’ve tried:

• Only conditioning the ends
• Blow drying upside down
• Using heat
• Changing my part

Nothing seems to hold for more than 10–20 minutes.

I think the issue is that my hair is too slippery and doesn’t have enough texture to hold volume.

I’m looking for:

• Safe volumizing sprays or root lift products
• Best shampoos/conditioners
• Lightweight texturizing sprays that aren’t crunchy or drying
• Techniques specifically for silky hair
• Ways to create root lift without damaging my hair

If you also have very silky hair that struggles to hold volume, what actually worked for you? Please recommend products that are also safe for scalp + hair!
