Husband there, or not there?

Hi there. My wife and I have discussed and fantasized about this for a while. Still not sure if it will ever *actually* happen but have done roleplay, porn, etc.

We are both curious, what did everyone do the first time? Wife going on a date solo, with taking pics videos etc? Or, with husband there, either participating or watching? we both have a slight preference for the first but wondered if that’s a smart way to start.
