Do Acadians/Cajuns view themselves as their own identity like the Quebecois do?

CULTURE

I’ve been doing a lot of reading into Louisiana and francophone culture as part of a university project I’m doing on Catholicism in America and I’ve been reading a lot about Acadians and Francophones in places where the Louisiana Purchase happened. I’m a Canadian and we (as most know) have a rich francophone history in the Quebecois, who view themselves as their own group separate from Canada altogether, I was wondering if Acadians or francophone groups in places like Louisiana feel similar to that today?
