ADHD and identity
Wondering of you's also struggle with finding a "personality/identity" when it comes to style/hobbies/favorite items etc
When i look at family/friends/co workers, they are so easily to describe when it comes to their hobbies/interests/style/interior and clothing preferences to name a few.
When it comes to me...i hardly feel i have an identity when it comes to that. One day i'm convinced my house should be this style only to lose interest and want to redo my complete house again. Hobbies...i get hyperfixated for a few months or sometimes years...only to lose interest suddenly and stop everything it involves and all the items i bought for it.
Favourite items and/or collections....one day i discover it and make it my goal to buy as much of it as i can...half a year/year later...gone is the interest and having to sell everything again.
Nothing sticks, no favourite items that mark me as a person or that give me lasting comfort and joy....it all is so fleetly and superficial.
Your identity is not completely based of your interest and home styling and favourite movies but literally everyone i know has a homebase in terms of their house and its interior and identity that's largely based around their favourite hobbies/items/interests.
After all these years i am, again, back to square one when it concerns that and feel like i'm nobody in this world.
Any thoughts/opinions?
