HD 560S vs Beyerdynamic BT 900 Pro X need advice (FPS + casual music)
I mainly play FPS games and I’m honestly not great at sound cues, so positional audio matters a lot to me. I’ve been reading a ton and people keep saying the HD 560S and Beyerdynamic BT 900 Pro X are actually pretty similar overall and that it mostly comes down to personal preference.
I decided to grab the HD 560S and I’m picking it up tomorrow. My plan is to test it for gaming first, but I’m a little worried about music. A lot of people say the 560S isn’t very “fun” for music.
That said:
- I barely listen to music on my PC
- I already have AirPods Pro 2, which I use most of the time for music
- My PC use is mostly gaming
I also kind of regret buying the Astro A50 Gen 5 and I’m thinking of selling it. If I do that, I’m wondering:
- If the HD 560S feels “good enough” for music, should I just keep it and call it a day?
- Or is the BT 900 Pro X still worth considering as a more general all-around headset?
- Am I overthinking this and should I just keep the 560S for FPS and use AirPods for music?
Would appreciate any real-world impressions, especially from people who’ve tried both. Thanks
