I love it here very, very much but...

I can't stand how people have treated Portland over the last decade. It's almost as if there are people who come here to hurt themselves and each other, do drugs, be miserable, etc. Portland is one of the most beautiful cities in the country, it literally brings tears to my eyes when I'm walking around the park or trying to go to the store and I see a bunch of teenagers and adults hunched over nodding off on whichever drug is the flavor of the week, and not accepting help because nobody can force it on them. Someone needs to do something. Soon. I know that it is not going to be easy and will take a very long time for changes to be made but I just miss 2010 Portland and needed to share it today.
