Which surgeon would you go with?

Question

Option #1) MIGS surgeon, does not label themselves as a specialist but has studied under excision specialists. They said bladder/bowel endo is outside of their skill level and they'd refer me to a specialist if any was found there. Surgery would be in my city and would cost $10.

Option #2) Go with a true excision specialist, however they'd be located 2+ hours away and would be out of network. Costs would be $5,000 (my out of network out of pocket maximum) plus transportation and lodging.

Some background: I had surgery with a general gyn in 2024. They estimated I was stage 2. There was scar tissue on my colon but no obvious endo on my bladder or bowels. Although take that with a grain of salt as they weren't a specialist and could have missed something.

Given that I'm only stage 2 and don't have significant bladder/bowel symptoms would it be reasonable to go with the MIGS surgeon? I know seeing a specialist would be ideal, but I'm struggling with justifying the cost.
