Commute gear

Anyone got thoughts on waterproofing commute gear? I’m trying to avoid over wear and wanna grab some decent waterproof textiles such as the rukka kalix?

Anyone who rides all year round, please let me know what you recommend in terms of warmth and waterproof. I’ve got some Oxford heated grips waiting to install
