What K-pop fans do with Cortis isn't anything new, but it's bizarre.

OPINIONS

I'm a little biased because I'm a fan, I've loved them since I met them, but we have to recognize how strange the problem K-pop fans have with them is.

I've noticed that they always do everything to find something to criticize them for and put them in controversy; that thing with James and the girl from BABYMONSTER, Keonho's reaction, the Christmas video, anyway, all of that.

At first, I thought it was just because they were a HYBE group, who coincidentally tend to receive a lot of hate for frivolous reasons, but with the release of Young Creator Crew it became much more evident how K-pop fans are unbearable and malicious beings, and that following K-pop on social media is not worth it.

Come on: there is something called target audience, so if you didn't like something that an artist you don't even like released, maybe their art isn't for you. Spreading hate will get the music deleted? I don't think so, so the best thing to do is not listen. Another thing: whether you like Young Creator Crew or not, we have to remember that a single song doesn't summarize their discography or that they will only release songs of this style for the rest of their career. They barely have any songs and haven't even completed a year in their career!

I'm not saying you're obligated to like them or their music, but rather that we should be more conscious of what we say out there. This wave of hate they receive doesn't make sense. I've seen things related to body shaming, death threats, sexualization, and excessive hate directed at them. Sometimes I wonder if these people don't know that they, besides being very young, are human. This worries me, I worry about what this could cause them in the future.
