Are RMD’s the main reason I should be considering at least some Roth 401k contributions?

30M who is in the 24% tax bracket in a high tax state. I’ve been maxing out traditional 401k and Roth IRA for the past few years. A compounding calculator tells me I could have anywhere from 2.5-4m in traditional accounts by the time I retire in my early 60s.

I just recently discovered RMDs and a calculator tells me that in my 80s I could be pulling out today’s equivalent of like 300k+ per year!? I understand my 401k is not a wealth generator but it seems like a no Brainer to at least go 50/50 on traditional/roth. I can stay in the 24% bracket now to avoid being in the ultra high one in my 80s. I dont often see this posted so wondering if it’s a dumb idea?
