What works better, Negative or Exclusive Constraints

We all know if you aren't verbose with your prompts the LLM may not be a good boy.

You may have a certain way that you want your workflow to be but it just keeps choosing another way. (using Bash commands when the environment is Windows, etc)

I think of negative constraints like:

Don't use git commands unless explicitly asked.

And Exclusive constraints like:

Use git commands ONLY when explicitly asked.

Just an interesting thought, which do you think the LLM will listen to better? Think it depends on the model? (Claude vs Gemini)
