**Hello EveryOne!**

SPOILER: This is not a real console, nor a leak.
It is just a reasonnable concept Idea that I wanted to share with you all.

\------------------------------------------
**Context:**

So… I love the Trimui Brick for its outstanding bang-for-the-buck ratio.
Afordable, Powerful, crisp hi-res screen, pocketable, nice software and capabilities… Just perfect.

Then… I saw the Miyoo Mini Flip and I absolutely fell in love with its tiny clamshell form factor (I grew up with a GBA SP, DS, 3DS…). So freakin’ adorable that I ordered it right away.

Upon receival, I was super excited: it was marvelously cute… But after trying it out, many bummers erased the smile on my mask:

Disgusting screen color / contrast, Horrible audio glitching & crackling with Wi-Fi ([hardware related](https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/comments/1pld00a/fixing_miyoo_flip_mini_wifi_audio_interference/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)), Super weak performance, Heating fast, Bad battery…

And the worst part: when I plugged it into my PC for charging, it acted so crazy I thought I burned it… (It actually needs some kind of stripped-down USB cable just to charge).

This was wrong. I thought it would be perfect for GBA titles at least. But the hardware issues and the screen made me quit… I was disappointed… this tiny device had so much potential and didn’t deserve such hardware problems.

I couldn’t sleep that night (not because of this camon). So I decided to generate through AI the perfect console for me… from 3am to 10am btw. I couldn’t stop as it was so exciting!

Why don’t we see more of that stuff? We can all design our dream consoles nowadays…

Anyway, by mixing my love for the Trimui and my frustration of the miyoo mini flip, I came up with the concept of a **“Trimui Brick Mini Flip”**, or shortly:

**👉 THE BRICK FLIP** (AI designed by HYPERIUM, Trademarked… kidding)

\------------------------------------------

\------------------------------------------

**Specifications:**

**Core hardware**

The main goal: an **endgame PS1 handheld** with port capabilities.

* **SoC:** you tell me, but more powerful and more efficient than the latest trimui. Enough for PS1 2-3x upscale with VFX.
* **RAM:** 2 GB at least should be enough?
* **Storage:** 16 / 64 GB eMMC (depending on cost & OS) + SD slot
* **Size:** Just like the trimui brick maybe 3.5 instead of 3.2 to accomodate more thing on the base.

**Screen (VERY important)**

This post exists because the Miyoo Mini Flip’s screen murdered me.
So please, for God’s sake, **do not ruin everything with an awful panel**…
Trimui did it right, so I believe it’s possible.

What I think is necessary:

* 3.2-3.5" Crisp, fully laminated OCA IPS with excellent contrast
* Resolution should be a multiple of PS1 (240p ×3 or ×4?, or we stick with trimui's one)
* OLED? Maybe for a “Pro” version, probably with Android OS 🤔 (we can dream)

**I/O Layout:**

**Top**

* Good buttons (you tell me, I liked MMF ones more than TB)
* Start & Select on top
* 3 bottom buttons for quick settings (TB style)

**Bottom (TB style)**

* SD card reader
* Reset pin
* USB-C (C for CHARGING COMPLIANT Standards… right Miyoo?!)
* Audio jack

**Right side**

* Power button (MMF style)
* Volume slider (3DS style, or maybe buttons instead)

**Left side**

* alternative Volume buttons (RPF2 style)
* 2nd SD card reader?

**Back**

* USB-C for HDMI out or something like that… cuz why not 😛
* **Shoulder buttons:** Trimui had to rework that part because their initial design wasn’t great. I believe we can stick to **inline buttons** like any recent clamshell (Miyoo Flip v2 style).

**Speakers**

Bad audio is the second thing that killed the MMF for me. I don’t know who likes bad audio so we should slap a proper internal DAC and tune the darn speakers correctly. We saw the difference with the jamesDSP mod.

I understand manufacturers can’t do everything, but the least they can do is:

To Properly engineer speaker design and make sure there’s no crackling sound/ glitching audio interference.

**Coloring & Design**

* Simple color schemes to reduce cost
* Buttons should contrast with shell color (unlike regular Trimui)

Tho I am sure that some of these designs excited the heck out of you (especially GameCube / SNES / PS1 for me)

One solution is to Maybe rely on **high-quality stickers** that perfectly fitting the top shell?

This would allow customization and maintain better pricing

**Pricing**

* For such a premium retro console, I think a reasonable range would be from **70 to 140 USD,** I took wide to not offend anyone, but to me, I want the feeling of the AYN premium quality.

**Conclusion**

Voilà, I hope you liked my idea. **❤️**
I believe we can all start thinking about the best console — it’s not rocket science. A few years ago, we had to learn Blender for such renders… Now all it took me was chatting with an AI (Gemini Pro, FYI),

I was thinking about making the **Retroid Pocket Mini Flip** next or retroid flip 3. But I’m kind of busy so I invite one of you to try this fun adventure and share the result.

Like it or hate it, I would love to hear what you think of this design.

Cheers! **❤️**
