How did your inductions go?

I am 31w1d today.

At 26w the doctors found out that I am 3cm dilated and I was hospitalised. Had an ultrasound and baby was measuring really well in the 20 percentile. Self discharged just before 28w as baby was showing no signs of wanting to come out.

At 28w I was told I have GD and before that my midwife measured my bump and she said that it measures small so was recommended a scan (even though I was informed after that I’ll be having scans every 4 weeks iirc due to GD). The scan told me that my baby dropped from 20 to 6 percentile (only the femur length was low. AC and HC measure really good) and I was recommended for a fetal medicine scan.

At 30 weeks I had the scan where I was told that baby is still measuring small but has both grown and gained weighed since 28w. Basically he went from weighing 1093g to 1403g, not a lot for a 30w baby but the doctor said that we are most likely looking at a constitutionally small baby rather than FGR. AC and HC have grown in normal parameters but FL still short. Placenta and AF looked good as well.

Now after the ultrasound the doctor said that I’ll be having scans every 2 weeks, my next one being at 32 weeks and that she’ll be recommending me for induction at 37 weeks.

I’m very nervous, but I want what’s best for my baby. Seeing that I’m already dilated I really hope that it’ll all go well, but I’m still wondering if the baby measuring small was my fault for not eating a lot? My appetite has deflated really bad and at 26w I weighed less than I did at 6w when I had my first midwife appointment. Please distract me a bit with your induction experiences. How has it gone? How are you and baby now?
