Recently engaged. Converting to Catholicism. Anti-Catholic Protestant parents won’t come to my Catholic wedding.

I’ll be Catholic by Easter and currently in RCIA.

I’m recently engaged and know I need to have a Catholic wedding.

My anti-Catholic Protestant parents think the wedding ought to be conducted according to the bride’s family’s tradition aka their traditions, in their church, by their pastor.

It’s souring my conversion, my engagement, my wedding planning and future marriage.

No, they won’t change their minds.

Yes, myself and my fiancé have talked to our priest. He says there is no such thing as two weddings and getting married outside of the Catholic Church will be invalid.

How do I navigate this? Has anyone else experienced this or had their parents not attend their wedding?
