Am I delusional trying to plan a $5k wedding for 100 people? 😅

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some honest advice/ideas because I’m deep in the early wedding planning phase and trying to stay realistic about budget.

My fiancé and I are planning to get married in the Savannah, GA area. We’re expecting around 80-100 guests and hoping to keep the total budget around $4k–$5k (I know that’s tight 😅).

We’re open to non-traditional options — like doing the legal ceremony at the courthouse and hosting a reception at a park or recreation/community center — but I’m not sure how feasible that actually is in this area.

Has anyone planned something similar locally?

I’d love recommendations for:

• Affordable rec/community centers or park rentals

• Budget-friendly catering ideas

• Things you wish you knew when planning under $5k

• Or just general reality checks if I’m being delusional lol
