Need advices

I'm currently at 2bc, struggling a bit with the lack of health, and I had a dilemma : do I use my cells to upgrade the forge or to unlock new weapons and traps/abilities ? I'm a bit scared to increase the drop rate of "bad weapons" if I unlock them

For abilities, I only play with double crossbomatic and sinew slicer/sinew leghugger with as much dot affix as possible to let them make the work for bosses and when I'm cursed/in danger I know it's all about comfort but i cant convince myself that others stuffs can be better, can you argue with me and put me on the right way ? Can you advice me good combos ?

I played the game years ago (probably 2018 or 2019) on switch until 4bc and took it a month ago on computer, I just feel that i'm mentally locked into my old go-to build memories and need other passionate players talks to make me go through this. Atm I'm just spamming runs to the first boss to spend my 150-250 cells to the forge and losing before reaching the Hand
