Why not fix the hand, then finish the tour?

Maybe he touched on the subject about surgery at one point idk. but instead of playing in pain for the next 2-3 years whatever it is, he should just take a break like 6 months to get surgery and go through some therapy then he could continue the original tour length he wanted.
