Just played MGS4 for the first time in almost 17 years…

and I can’t believe how good it was. The ending is so intense. My son was watching me play act 5 and even as a kid that will only touch Fortnite and Roblox (despite my best efforts) he was hooked. As snake fought to drag himself through the microwave filled corridor while the battle raged outside, with our heroes at the edge of defeat, my son yelled out “this is now my favorite game!” Couple that with Act 4’s return to Shadow Moses and finally controlling a Metal Gear and it’s now my favorite in the series. Severely underrated gem that I think suffered from the disappointment with Old Snake. Being older now I completely love the choice.

I’m thankful I waited this long for a replay because I forgot everything about the story. It was like playing it new. To everyone waiting for the Master Collection Vol 2, you’re in for a treat.
