Before you all start attacking me for hating on Season 3, the only reason I now despise it so much is because I believe I have created a really good replot of the season!

\_\_\_

You see, there were multiple ISSUES WITH SEASON 3:

1- An Obvious Ending… I mean obviously the baby was gonna win from the moment it was born. It ruined the whole excitement factor of it for me because I didn’t need to watch it to know the winner.

2- All The Main Characters Died Early… Almost every character we were rooting for died in the first few episodes leaving the ending feeling empty and wrong! Who even was left at the end other than Gihun, MG and Minsu (who didn’t get much screen time this season either).

3- Characters Were Killed Off Pointlessly… Characters deaths felt rushed and didn’t fit the narrative being told. Daeho died because Gihun (who went there to save everyone) was salty, but apparently he wasn’t salty enough to not kill a couple of murderous players for the sake of a baby! Hyunju died to save Junhee and that but her death was rushed and also pretty pointless! Minsu lasted way too long, and sure that shot of Thanos and Namgyu was cool but he should have died way earlier in the state he was in! You can’t say drugs made him live that long 😭

In my opinion, there were many flaws. And so I’ve come up with a much better plotline that I feel would have left everyone a whole lot more satisfied with the end! Tell me what you would think:

WHAT I CAME UP WITH!!!

Firstly, before we start, I wouldn’t bother cutting back to the police guy so much. It was just so pointless! I’d maybe two short scenes to demonstrate him alive and travelling to the island, but like, his entire existence is worthless. I’d only keep him in cause he’s always been in it… and alive for the sake of saving Player 246 and seeing his brother in the end! That’s it 😆. I feel we would do better with him cut out of the plot entirely. But there we go.

HIDE AND SEEK:

I’d probably leave it with the exact same lead up before the game. In the game however, I’d probably change one or two colours!

Yongsik would swap with Geumja and become a red as he does.

Junhee would swap with Hyunju and become a blue as she does. Hyunju would therefore be a red!

And MG would swap with Seonnyeo who allows the swap cause this is the Gods calling and they will protect her. So Seonnyeo actually swaps to a blue!

During Hide And Seek:

Namgyu and MG do exactly what they do in the movie… they were entertaining and an awesome duo! They especially kill off all of Seonnyeos followers and chase her to the safe room before losing her! NAMGYU and MG GET THEIR KILLS (and more).

Gihun targets Daeho. He tries to hunt him down and finds him halfway through the game. However, upon hearing Daeho out, he lets Daeho run off. It is implied that he’s still mad as he kills the lookalike Daeho in the same manner he killed the actual one in the real series. However, DAEHO LIVES and GIHUN GETS HIS KILL! Maybe the audience can believe he chased and killed real Daeho to start off with, but later on it’s revealed to be the lookalike.

Seonnyeo finds Player 100. Player 100 gets split off after being chased by Hyunju. Minsu (high after finding Namgyus drugs) finds her just as she is about to put all three keys in the door (2 of which she got from Player 100) and pictures her as Namgyu before killing her. MINSU GETS HIS KILL and SEONNYEO DIES!

Junhee and Geumja run into a crazed blue… a random. He tries to attack them for their keys. Hyunju finds them by chasing Player 100 and kills the blue! She finds Seonnyeos door (the hands actually being only something Seonnyeo saw - her body lying in the room) and leads Junhee and Geumja to safety. Just before they enter, Yongsik appears and tries to kill Junhee. Hyunju goes to stop him, but Geumja knowing that it would kill her kills him! Junhee goes in the room and has the baby there. JUNHEE AND GEUMJA LIVE, HYUNJU GETS HER KILL, YONGSIK IS MURDERED BY GEUMJA and THE BABY IS BORN.

PLAYER 100 MANAGES TO HIDE UNTIL THE TIME RUNS OUT!

INTERMISSION:

The game ends. Player 246 is shown being saved. The police officer almost witnesses a murder on the boat. Geumja kills herself cause she feels guilty. SEASON 1 VIPS return! (Not pound-shop VIPs)!

JUMP ROPE:

NAMGYU DIES in the same way he does… trying to get to an empty necklace. But for comedic effect and because drugs are bad… MINSU DIES right after Namgyu as he takes the drug which distorts his vision. Thanos and Semi can appear in a vision here instead!

PLAYER 100 DIES from fall damage alongside any of those stupid players we don’t know anything about!

FINALISTS: Daeho, Hyunju, Junhee, Baby, Gihun and MG!

INTERMISSION: Gihun doesn’t accept Inhos offer cause he came here to save people and not kill them! Police Officer figures out that the boat guy is evil and kills him. He finds escaping Player 246 and trades boats, getting to the island to find his brother. The players have their final meal.

SKY SQUID GAME:

SQUARE- Gihun reveals he still hates Daeho for the rebellion. Upon learning the rules, he turns on Daeho and throws him off the Square! Hyunju doesn’t help, feeling slightly the same way. MG assists cause he’s MG 😆

TRIANGLE- Gihun admits fault himself for the rebellion too. He says he can’t live with himself for killing Jungbae. He sees MG as a threat, and dies heroically by shoving MG off. He does this by charging at him and knocking him off… falling off the platform in the process. They both die!

Circle- So that leaves Junhee, The Baby and Hyunju. Will it be a fight to the death? Will Hyunju give herself up! Will Junhee give herself up? This ending leaves questions and a really depressing but good ending.

ENDGAME- The police officer finds his brother standing at the top of the Circle. He goes up there himself and tries to talk to him. You can do what you want here too… shoot one of them, both of them or let them both walk away.

In the end… the baby lives alongside 2 others players… either Junhee or Hyunju and Player 246. And maybe Inho or the Police Officer dies too? The Police Officer could always be the one showing up at Gihun’s daughter’s door!

I personally think this would have been such a better way to end it! I just wanted to share my thoughts lol!

Do you guys have anything to add or change? Or would you rewrite this entirely too?

Did You Like Season 3? (Spoiler Alert… I Didn’t!)
