Hello, I’m a 22 year old female that has been dealing with eczema and multiple skin issues in the last 5 years. I keep getting this one spot on my eye that is itchy and raised for the past year. 

Eczema history- About 5 years ago, I experienced horrible rash covering my hands and feet. It was dyshidrotic eczema. I am allergic to dust, hay, and animal dander. I was working in a barn when I had that issue. I no longer work or live with any animals. I was prescribed hydrocortisone from a dermatologist and it eventually went away. I no longer use the prescription hydrocortisone regularly, only when I get a flare which is not as common anymore. 

Boil History- This may not be relevant however I’ve experienced boils. During 2022, I randomly got boils in various locations on my body. So bad, I went to the hospital to drain one even in covid time. I went on antibiotics. I ended up getting one on the same eye that I have this issue with. I have a scar from it. I just think it’s strange I always have issues with this right eye. 

Acne history- I’ve experienced lots of acne that started in my early 20s. I also went on antibiotics for. 

Basically, I have not so great immune system. I’ve cut out dairy products to help with my acne since that seemed to help a lot  and I thought maybe it might be flaring my eye eczema as well. That seems to not be the case. 

Pattern of flares - 

1. when I wear makeup especially mascara it flares my eye eczema. (New not expired) 

2. Around animals or allergens. Immediately when I get a sniffle or itchy eyeballs that one spot on my eye immediately gets itchy. 

Yes , I could not wear any makeup and never go around animals and that may help. However, that is not reality. I will always want to wear makeup as I am girl who likes to wear makeup. And someone who loves animals and has a family who lives on a farm with my own dog who I don’t live with anymore because my allergies were getting worse.
