Stood up on Valentine’s Day

💭Seeking Support & Advice

I’ve never been so confused in my entire dating life. I had 3 amazing dates with a girl I met on bumble. We got along so well, shared so many interests and for one of the first times in my life I didn’t feel that constant need for reassurance and pain that comes with the start of dating. Our last date (last Saturday) was an at home date where I cooked and we watched the finale of fallout season 2 together. We were going very slow so we actually kissed for the first time that night. After we kissed she brought up Valentine’s Day, I was honestly in my head considering skipping it because it was early and I’ve been working so hard to keep my brain steady so I didn’t blow it and get over attached. Since she brought it up I was excited to say yes and we made tentative plans to spend the evening together getting dinner and watching a movie together. Before all of that she had also asked me to see a movie with her that comes out mid march. Since that Saturday we were texting as normal. This week was incredibly busy for both of us and so replies were a bit more spaced out (I usually got back to her pretty quickly though). On Thursday afternoon she told me she was having a bad day and was getting sick with someone ‘god awful’. Since that text it’s been silence. I have had to fight the urge to text and call to the point I have no energy to do anything else. I’ve done a lot of work on myself since my BPD diagnosis to curb the overpowering emotions that used to control my every action but this has been the biggest test by far. I am embarrassed to say that I keep checking her location on bumble (still matched by the way) and until today it appeared she was home the entire time on Friday and Saturday. I don’t know if I’m being ghosted or if she’s really sick or has some kind of emergency or life changing event right now. The limbo and silence is killing me. I’ve been ghosted before but it never felt like this and I’m teetering on the edge of becoming entirely disregulated. I didn’t think posting in a Reddit for just dating would help because most people do not understand the way our brains work. Anyone have any ideas? I’ve texted a few times since the last message she sent but I’m trying so hard not to overdo it and come off clingy or desperate. I called last night when our date was supposed to be to ask if she was ok and she didn’t pick up so I left a voicemail. I haven’t done anything since because I feel like if I keep trying it’ll only push me closer to going off the deep end.
