[PC][DOS] [Late 80's, Early 90's] tank shooter similar to BattleZone

so, long ago, when i was young (around late 80's, early 90's), I would go visit a friend's house, and on his Acer computer, he used to have a DOS looking game that was very similar to BattleZone.

you would pilot these (hover) tanks, and you would drive around a quake looking map, shooting at other tanks, but for the life of me, I don't remember the name of the game, and his Acer computer was the only place I've ever seen it before, or since...

very curious if anyone might know what game this was? any help would be appreciated 💖
