How do I start to stand out in this oversaturated market?

I produced documentaries, concerts, short films and the occasional VLOG. I'd say most of it is decent quality. I come from a professional film background, but it's obviously a very different process when doing it yourself.

I'm working on putting out more content on a consistent schedule, but it's frustrating knowing I put weeks into editing a documentary that a year later only has 300 views.

I'm certain that once my content finds its audience they will love it- the question is, how do I get myself seen?
