Sesamoiditis for over 3 years, Desperate for help.
Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on reddit as I am desperate for some answers and I'm really hoping for some help!
I first started experiencing sesamoiditis over three years ago after playing football / running and the pain has never went away.
I have had x-rays and MRI scans to confirm I have this awful condition (in both feet). I have since had steriod injections two times in each foot, custom made insoles, PT sessions with a podiatrist, medications such as Amitriptyline, Duloxetine, Gabapentin, Cocodamol, Tramadol, Ibroprofen Gels, Diclofenac and now currently on Celecoxib.
My GP has wrote me off work sick in the past due to having to be on my feet all day in a busy warehouse along with driving forklifts which can be extremely painful.
I have been to see an Orthopaedic Surgeon who told me to continue with the steriod injections and that they will see me again in a year. It has been a year and still have had no improvement what so ever since having these injections and anything else I have tried hasn't worked.
I'm really struggling with this everyday, some days are worse than others. I am in constant pain the morning I wake up until the end of the day. I have tried all methods such as rest, ice and elevation along with trying different shoes such as Hokas and Dancer pads.
The pain is constant and I am considering anything to make it go away to be able to live a normal life again 😞
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
