15mo toilet refusal

Potty Training

I did a very lazy version of EC with my baby, mostly offering potty first thing in the morning. I did this intermittently and would take time off as needed. She‘s now 15 months and seems to be aware of/in control of her peeing, at least some of the time. (E.g., she will often wait for me to take her diaper off before looking down at her crotch and then peeing standing up.) She also will pull at her diaper and say “pee pee,” and I think she then immediately pees. But she’s currently refusing to let me put her on the potty most of the time. And she doesn’t care at all if she pees on herself or the floor. I want to continue encouraging her to notice her body’s cues and take advantage of this time when she seems more in control of her bodily functions. Should I be encouraging her to sit on the potty more? Doing more diaper-free time and hoping she will develop more of an aversion to peeing on herself?
