Replaced cpu - no picture issues

HARDWARE

Something shorted my pc years ago. Fried the cpu. It has been sitting for like 4 yrs. Just bought a new one.

Original chip was i5-7600k replaced with i7-7600k. Mobo is msi mpg z390 gaming edge ac. Gtx is geforce gtx960. Psu is corsair rm650. H110i watercooler. And viper ram, 16b(2x8gb sticks)2133mhz. And i have 2 ssd, the original was a 250gb samsung, and i also have an unused 1tb crucial. I unplugged the samsung.

So i was able to actually get a picture a cpl of times. After removing the cmos batt and letting it sit overnight. I was able to get to the press f1 to enter setup, f2 to continue. I entered setup, saw the bios, showed the correct chip and speed, showed all the ram and correct speed.

So i went and created a boot drive for w11 on a thumb drive. Was able to change boot priority to usb. And it actually reset and showed me the win icon and got a stoprun error, said we will restart for u and did, go abother stop error, same msg but when it rebooted it just stayed black.

Stopcode: driver_overran_stack_buffer(0xf7)

Now ever since that i cant get any picture, and ive retried all the things exactly like i tried before.

I also replaced the cmos batt. Ive tried it with no gpu, but i have never been able to get the onboard gfx for the mobo to give a pic. Its always been thru the gpu.

Any help would be appreciated. I am really hoping i dont have to replace the mobo. I had an old msi krait gaming z170a that i tried swapping everything over to, but it wouldnt even turn on. Swapped everything back, all good. Ive tried dvi as well but never got a pic with it. And there is no vga option on the gpu or mobo.

Honestly im about to be going thru some health issues and stuck at home and all iwanted to do was to atbleast he able to play games to distract my mind. Arc raiders which i have yet to try and all the other shit i have on steam and battlenet.

I would appreciate any insight or help. I have tried swapping ram slots, leaving ram out.

Just find it weird that i have been able to get a picture a cpl times if the mobo is bad. Or maybe the psu? I have no fucking clue.

Maybe i need to clear the cmos the jumper way instead of just leaving out the battery?

If u read all of this, thanks. And thanks in advance to any help or insight. Take it easy.
