Most Unique Catholic Communities or Subcultures You've Run Into?

So I think we all know the kind of mainstream Catholic culture--the one that's present in young adult groups all over the country and is present on social media.

But of course there are communities and subcultures of Catholics out there that have different social norms and ways of thinking and behaving.

What is the most unique or different one you've run into?

I'll go first. In the Chicago area, there is a connection between the Proud Boys and metalheads, punks, and skinheads. Somewhere amidst that pipeline there are a bunch of Catholics, mostly men. They tend to have more daring and open-minded personalities than people in the mainstream Catholic culture, and they also have looser social norms.

So what about you? What's the most different one you've met, and where was it located?
