Staff/whip comparison

so im currently pre lunatic cultist i beat duke and i am currently trying to get the kaleidoscope.but is trying to get the terraprism worth it? i mean i heard that the stardust dragon the best for moonlord i tried the empress of light i killed her twice and than i just kept dying . is the terraprism worth your sanity even though u can just get the stardust dragon and kill the moonlord better i understand the terraprism might be better generally but i dont want to do general stuff anymore except for getting the kaleidoscope killing the cultist moonlord and dip. oh and is that new whip that came in 1.4.5 better than the kaleidoscope. the one that looks like the stardust dragon staff and u get it pre moonlord
