Feeling fake as a transman and transmed
I see countless people on here saying they had dysphoria when they were 6 years old or younger, and it made me think back to my exploration of my gender.
I feel fake, like imposter syndrome or something, because I first started out thinking I was genderfluid at about 12 years old. I didn't have much dysphoria as far as I can remember (It's fuzzy as I was depressed and this was near and during COVID) Except for being adamant about people in elementary not calling me a "girly girl" and I liked the idea of being grouped with the men, and being a "tomboy".
But then as I grew up suddenly my dysphoria heightened (Me being genderfluid I think only lasted a year or shorter than that)
but the fact that I didn't have much dysphoria when I was a kid is eating me up inside. It makes me feel like I'm some imposter, that I'm somehow faking being a transman. I am not a woman, or nonbinary, the idea of me being something other than a man makes me want to die. And I feel like I don't belong in a transmed space because I didn't grow up with much dysphoria. I agree with the fact that trans people need dysphoria, and that it's a medical condition. So why didn't I feel as much dysphoria growing up compared to others? (mostly a rhetorical question)
Just wanted to know if anyone else has been experiencing this.
