New Graves dx and needing validation
As title says, I have a newish (9 mo) diagnosis of Graves. Heavy family history and have always felt something was “off”, but my drs ran basic thyroid labs and dismissed me. All labs were undetectable TSH and normal T3/T4. One dr even called to tell me my TSH was undetectable so I needed to tell my Endo to reduce my meds and immediately backtracked “you’re not on thyroid meds so never mind” 🤔
This “group/page” has become invaluable to me lately. As a prior victim of gaslighting I was starting to retreat and feel this was all in my head. About a year ago I had a positive TSI of 2.67, still undetectable TSH, and now elevated T3 & normal T4.
I’m exhausted (to my bones an exhaustion I can’t even explain) Every day around 3-4pm my chest starts hurting so badly and I’ve utilized my resources. My insurance nurse line has sent me to the ER multiple times based on my BP and HR. I have the all clear on my heart. At the end of the day I feel like my heart has put in overtime and I’m worn out.
I’m getting in my head again and hearing I’m “just lazy” and/or exercise and/or diet will fix this. How do I do that when my resting HR is 110? Is this really all in my head? I’m starting to question my own reality and symptoms and dismiss them.
*also to note I have two fairly large nodules and having a follow up ultrasound next week. I’ve already had one FNA that came back “atypical & undetermined” about a yr ago.
