Anniversary of amended return coming up

I efiled my amended 2023 return on February 17, 2025. Two entries appear on transcript, both dated 02-17-2025. Nothing after that.

971 Amended tax return or claim forwarded for processing

977 Amended return filed

Where's My Amended Return says not yet processed, due to a delay.

I reached out to Taxpayer Advocate Service, and several weeks later got a voice mail from Ms Kirk, wanting to discuss. I've tried returning her call several times, always get voice mail. I leave messages, which don't get returned. Her voice mail mentioned sending a letter if needed, that hasn't happened either.

My suspicion is that the return is sitting on the desk of an employee long ago laid off. I expect someday I'll get a refund, and interest may be more than the tax.
