Is intestinal metaplasia the main issue?

I've been dealing with chronic gastritis for five years now, I've done EVERYTHING (diet, medications, supplements) and I CANNOT GET RID OF IT!

I recently got an EGD and got diagnosed with intestinal metaplasia in the antrum of my stomach. I also tested slightly positive for SIBO (12 ppm methane).

Is the metaplasia the main issue now? Or is it the SIBO preventing the gastritis from healing?
