“Sleep divorced”

Seeking Advice

Sleep divorce means sleeping apart at night.

My husband and I have always slept together, even before living together. It only stopped after our first child, where we had different rooms to ensure at least one of us had good sleep.

Our only child is older now, and we are back to sleeping together but my husband hates it. He doesn’t sleep good with me because I move a lot in my sleep, so he often retreats back to his old room. But I have such a hard dealing with it. Not emotionally, but I can’t sleep anymore. I literally sleep with stuffed animals because I am so used to sleeping with someone & dealt with bad insomnia too. I haven’t slept well for weeks now. Does it get better with time??

How do YOU deal with “sleep divorce”? Were both parties happy?
