Misdiagnosed BPD

💢Off My Chest/Journal Post

Oh my god I did not have this on my 2026 bingo card. 😭 I was diagnosed with BPD by someone I thought was my psychologist, but things got weird, i started dbt and we stopped working together. AAAAND plot twist: she wasn’t even a psychologist. She claimed to be one.

So then I start seeing a psychiatrist, and the very first thing she says is that I probably lean more toward bipolar and ADHD. I knew misdiagnoses were common, but I was so convinced I had BPD. Now I’m realizing that what I thought were BPD symptoms was probably my mixed episodes. My whole world is lowkey crushing down. I knew i had adhd but bipolar is a new addition.
