### *Problem*

My issue with Logic 11 and exporting all tracks in stereo from the MPC is that panning abilities do not work. I’ve tried exporting by skipping plugin processing and not including panning. However, in Logic Pro 11 I still cannot pan my tracks left or right.

Audio exports also sound a bit thin compared to the colorful output from the MPC XL. The audio just sounds much better from the MPC, almost like it’s HD. Even when normalizing the audio exports in Logic Pro, the audio still doesn’t sound like it did on the MPC.

I’m using a Lynx Aurora (N) which is one of the best audio interfaces IMO. I use the same audio interface on both the MPC and my MacBook Pro. The only difference I can see is that the MPC is two balanced outputs with it’s own audio interface going into the Lynx Aurora N while the output from the MacBook Pro is over Thunderbolt into the Lynx Aurora N. Unless the MPC does something special to the audio, then I’m unable to pinpoint why this problem exists.

Any thoughts on the panning not working after exporting tracks? Everything exported is in stereo so i would expect them to pan unless the experts were mono, which they aren’t.

### *Solution*

I found the solution! And it has nothing to do with the MPC or any DAW. For those who are MacOS users, it has EVERYTHING to do with Apple!!

You have to go into System Settings > Accessibility > Audio > Toggle Off - Play Stereo Audio as Mono

By default, ALL audio on MacOS is played as Mono refardless of how it's rendered. This affects audio files, and it's own freaking DAW.

Here I thought it was the MPC XL, then I thought it was the DAW, then I thought it was my Audio Interface and everything in between! How can Apple create a feature that interferes with their own music production software without giving producers a note that all Audio by default will play in Mono unless you turn the MacOS accessibility feature off so that audio will play in stereo or mono.

I hate you Apple! No wonder my mixes sounded different and my Mastering F'ing sucked! Such a waste, but I hope that this seriously helps someone else out. The amount of time I spent trying to figure this out is insanity.

FOUND SOLUTION: MPC Stereo Audio Exports Play in Mono in Logic Pro 11 :: All Audio in any DAW on MacOS Plays in Mono :: Cannot Pan MPC Audio Exports in Logic Pro 11, Ableton Live, or any other DAW on MacOS
