Heated seat dead?

With heated seats, both the seat cushion and the seat back contain heating elements. On my car the driver’s side seat cushion appears to be dead - no heat at all. However, the seat back portion works perfectly. I bought the car with this unnoticed defect. I’m wondering if this could be a simple loose connection or a fuse issue. If the element in the seat cushion is dead, I don’t imagine that’s an easy fix. EX-L model. Anyone else experience a heated seat issue like this?
