WDT SE Pro compatibility with Gaggia portafilter

Hi everyone! I just realized I made a mistake: I ordered the MHW-3BOMBER WDT SE Pro, and only after the purchase did I see the disclaimer saying it's incompatible with the stock Gaggia Classic Pro (GCP) portafilter.

The tool is still in transit, so I haven't been able to test it myself yet. For those who have tried this combination:

1. What exactly is the "incompatibility"? Does it sit crooked/wobbly on the basket, or does it simply not fit the diameter at all?
2. If the issue is the base clashing with the Gaggia's thick/angled lugs, do you think it's possible to mod it?
3. Would trimming or cutting the bottom alignment pieces allow it to sit flush on the basket?

I'd really like to make it work instead of returning it. If anyone has successfully modded this tool or found a workaround (besides buying a new portafilter), I’d love to hear your experience!
