Automatic litter box recommendation
Hi everyone,
I’m currently looking for an automatic litter box to help manage things for my two cats. I’ve been considering both the Catlink X and the Neakasa M1 Plus, but I can’t seem to decide between the two.
I can get the Catlink for €250, while the Neakasa would cost me €400. I’ve watched quite a few reviews, including direct comparisons, but depending on who’s reviewing it, I end up thinking one is better than the other — until I watch another video and change my mind again. I’ve obviously watched all the videos from One Man Five Cats, but the Litter Robots are just way out of my budget. In my country, they cost more than double the price of the Neakasa.
From what I’ve seen, one advantage of the Catlink is that it seems to handle leaks better, especially when placed near walls. However, one downside is that if a cat approaches during the cleaning cycle, the safety sensor does trigger correctly, but the machine can apparently get stuck and requires manual intervention (pressing buttons) to reset it.
On the other hand, the Neakasa seems to have better build quality and overall finish. However, I’ve seen several mentions of significant leakage issues along the sides.
Does anyone have experience with either of these and can share a recommendation?
As far as I understand, both the Catlink X and the Neakasa M1 Plus are generally safe for cats, which is why I’m mainly deciding between these two options.
Thanks in advance for any help!
