10 year old struggling to hit live pitching

Question

My 10 year old boy is playing in our local 12u little league (he’s a 5th grader so playing up slightly to be with his friends) and has struggled consistently hitting live pitching. It’s not even just the kids who are throwing hard in this group it’s almost all pitching he struggles with. When he gets a hold of one it’s almost always a hard hit whether grounder or in the air. But again, this is very infrequent, maybe once every 6 ABs.

Mechanics are far from perfect but good enough that I don’t think it’s the reason why he’s missing. His pitch selection has also improved enough to where he’s swinging at good pitches but still missing. He’s a big kid at about 4’10 110lbs and swings a 30 -11 and swings it well during BP and off the tee. Do you guys have some tips or drills that have helped your kiddos or players? Obviously just exposing him to more live pitching but youth arms at this age that can spare the extra pitches for side work while also throwing enough strikes for meaningful BP is tough to come by. Thanks for any suggestions yall have!
