Can you use Dodge to add a second disadvantage to an attack test, so the adversary rolls both the d20 and the damage dice with disadvantage?
I find the wording on this to be a bit ambiguous. Here's the relevant part of dodge (pg 305):
>Before an enemy targets you with an attack, you can use this reaction and spend 1 focus to add a disadvantage to their **attack test**.
And here is the wording on Making an attack (pg 305):
>All attacks follow these steps unless otherwise specified:
Item 2 implies that the attack test dice and damage dice are different things.
Compare to the wording on Brace (pg 304):
>All **attacks** against you gain a disadvantage for as long as you stay behind cover.
(Attacks, not attack tests)
But here's the ruling on testing with advantage and disadvantage (pg 58):
>For each advantage affecting the test, choose one die you’re about to roll for your test; you can pick the d20, the plot die, or any other die (**like one of the damage dice from an attack**). Roll two of each chosen die, then choose one of the two results to keep, discarding the other with no effect.
How have you all been ruling this? I tend towards the fact that you can use the disadvantage on the damage dice.
